PixelStudio is a simple and accessible 2D pixel art editor that runs directly in your web browser.

One of PixelStudio's key features is the ability to place a reference image behind the canvas and draw while tracing over it. The reference image exists independently of the pixel art workspace and retains its original resolution.

Your projects can be saved locally in your browser. You can also save project files to a folder on your computer and open them again whenever you want to continue working.

An English user manual and a sample project file are available for download. The sample project demonstrates how reference images can be used in PixelStudio and should help you get familiar with the workflow.
